The Dance Discoveries Program, a partnership between Mohawk Valley Ballet and Upstate Cerebral Palsy, will embark on its second year in September 2010. Mohawk Valley Ballet Company members Emily Smith, Alissa Wheeler, Hayleigh Schmidt and Emily Elwell will provide instruction in each of the eight-week sessions. Company members work with young dancers to allow the child-dancer and company member to develop a rapport and trusting relationship. The program enables each child to experience dance and movement and build his/her self-esteem.
